Hi! My name is Emily and I am the President of the Theta Mu chapter of Chi Omega at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. On behalf of all of my sisters, welcome to our website! I hope that through this website, you are able to get a glimpse into what makes being a Chi Omega woman so special.
Going through recruitment can be an overwhelming and confusing experience - in one short week, you are hoping to find your home away from home, your sisters for life, your best friends. The moment I walked into Chi Omega, I knew that it was the place for me. I felt comfortable and I knew I could be myself around these women I had only met a few minutes ago. Despite struggling through freshmen year and now knowing where I fit in on campus, Chi Omega accepted me with open arms, and words cannot express how grateful I am for this entire chapter and the opportunities, friendships, and laughs I have gained so far.
Since joining Chi Omega, I have met incredible leaders, supportive sisters, and genuine women that always brighten my day whenever I see them on campus, even if it is only in passing. Chi Omega sisters are involved in almost every aspect of campus life, with numerous women holding positions in varsity and club athletics, honor societies, community serivce and religious organizations, and more. Chi Omega gives all drive and passion to always put our best foot forward and do as much as we can to give back to our communities. Knowing that we all share a deeper connection with each other, and with thousands of women across the country, has allowed us to become the best versions of ourselves, both in the classroom and out.
I cannot put into words how grateful I am for Chi Omega, for the friendships I have made, for the opportunities I have been given, and for the passion I have seen in my sisters around me. Some of my favorite moments with sisters are the smaller ones - a sister I have not seen in a while coming to sit with me in the campus center, seeing sisters in a class on the first day and knowing that I will have an instant study group and people to sit with, playing music at table sitting events or on the quad and dancing like fools. The memories are infinite and indescribable.
I am so proud of our chapter's successes on campus and to call all these women my sisters.
If you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to reach out to us!
